SANTHE awards $287 579 in collaborative grants

Tuesday, 28 February, 2017

SANTHE has awarded a total of $287 579 in collaborative grants to six recipients.

Applications for these 1-year grants were solicited from investigators all over the globe to develop collaborative research projects to address critical challenges to African capacity in HIV and/or TB clinical, social/behavioural, and biomedical science.  Project leadership had to include at least one African investigator based at a SANTHE site.  All project activities will have to be completed within two years and priority was given to projects that establish new collaborations that add value to existing skills and initiate a programme of study that is likely to be competitive for external funding.
