Lishen Chetty is registered with the South African Institutes of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) as an Associate General Accountant (SA) and is a registered Tax Practitioner of the South African Revenue Service. In 2012, he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with an accounting major from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa, while working as financial administrator for a non-profit organisation. He has completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Advanced Accounting Science at the University of South Africa (UNISA) while completing an internship for a professional accountancy qualification. He is furthering his education in commerce by studying for his Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Science at UNISA. His experience includes working for a firm where he was assigned to audit various forms of enterprise and specialised in all attorney and attorney trust audits. In January 2016, he joined a growing private company in the health and safety industry as their Financial Manager. During this time, the opportunity to join the Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) arose and he decided to take advantage and be part of the niche market of grants management.
