SANTHE’s 1st ACM sets the standard for 2017

SANTHE PhD trainee, Funsho Ogunshola, scooped the award for “Best Abstract” at the ACM, while intern, Kelly Pillay, won the award for “Best Poster”.October 14 and 15 this year saw SANTHE enjoying its first, highly successful, Annual Consortium Meeting at the InterContinental in Nairobi, Kenya. Eighty people from collaborating sites all over the world, attended the two-day meeting to participate in a programme which included project updates, student presentations, keynote speakers delivering both scientific and motivational talks, and a truly memorable gala dinner. Next year’s meeting is scheduled to take place in September in Botswana.
