SANTHE marches for science

Emily Wong, SANTHE Supervisor and her children (front, centre - holding son, with daughter under arm), march for science.On April 22, 2017 SANTHE admin staff, trainees and supervisors – together with academic partners, civil society and citizens – joined hands to march in support of and in celebration of science. The march was part of a global movement to highlight the critical importance of sustained and strategic support by governments and funding agencies to advance and promote scientific research and innovation. It took place in Durban, South Africa’s city centre and culminated at the Gugu Dlamini Park, where there were exhibitions and scientific demonstrations for the public. SANTHE formed part of the organising committee.
