Eunice Nduati is a research scientist in immunology at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI)–Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Kilifi, Kenya.

Her research focuses on host immune responses to infections common in sub-Saharan Africa, with the aim of informing vaccine development. In particular, she studies HIV, investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in generating functional HIV-specific antibody responses that may guide vaccine design.

She is also interested in how environmental and genetic factors influence vaccine responses in African populations. Through collaboration with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), she has helped establish immunogenicity testing frameworks for HIV vaccine studies.

SANTHE is an Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) flagship programme funded by the Science for Africa Foundation through the DELTAS Africa programme; the Gates Foundation; Gilead Sciences Inc.; and the Ragon Institute of Mass General, MIT, and Harvard.
