Annual Consortium Meeting, Lusaka, Zambia, July 2023

SANTHE enjoyed a highly successful Annual Consortium Meeting at the Ciêla Resort in Lusaka, Zambia from the 12^th to the 14^th of July, 2023. Over 150 guests from collaborating sites worldwide attended the three-day meeting to participate in a scientific and social programme which included training, project updates, student oral and poster presentations, interactive sessions, and an unforgettable networking opportunity in the form of a gala dinner complete with local cuisine and dancers. Adding a further element of inspiration to the occasion, esteemed guest speaker at the event, Izukanji Sikazwe, Chief Executive Officer from the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) awed junior to senior scientists alike with her talk on “Women in Science: a journey of a thousand miles.”
