Supervisor

Audrey Dipita obtained her MSc in Medical Microbiology from the University of Yaoundé I in 2021, focusing on the antimicrobial profile of surface and air contaminants and infection risks associated with healthcare waste management in a Yaoundé hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work was presented at EDCTP 2023, ICPIC 2023, and ASM 2022, reflecting her engagement in collaborative and impactful research.

Her current project aims to investigate the impact of HIV-1 Group M LTR diversity in Cameroon on transcriptional activation and its implications for HIV cure strategies. She has background in infection control and antimicrobial resistance, extending into the molecular mechanisms underlying HIV persistence and treatment challenges.

Her broader interests include HIV latency, molecular diagnostics, antimicrobial resistance surveillance, public health genomics, and strengthening research capacity in Central Africa.
