Carine Nkenfou-Tchinda is an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences of Sangmelima, University of Ebolowa in Cameroon. She obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Yaoundé I in 2022, with research focusing on pharmacogenetic factors that influence drug response among HIV-infected individuals.
Her broader research interests include HIV susceptibility, disease progression, and related host and treatment factors. She has also worked as an investigator and site supervisor with CARE International on the Integrated HIV Bio-Behavioural Surveillance (IBBS) project among key populations across multiple towns in Cameroon.
She is a member of the Higher Institute for Growth in Health Research for Women Consortium, where she contributes to mentoring and capacity-building for women in science. Her SANTHE research project explores the relationship between antiretroviral therapy, the microbiome, and HIV reservoirs.
