Caroline Chisenga is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Lusaka, Zambia (CIDRZ). Since 2016, she has been investigating vaccine- and natural infection–derived immune responses in adults and infants, with a focus on HIV and bacterial infections. She leads a small research group and teaches MSc students in Infection and Immunity at the Levy Mwanawasa Medical University in Lusaka, Zambia. Her research interests centre on understanding reduced vaccine responsiveness in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), using systems serology approaches to inform vaccine development strategy.
