Michelle Muthui

Michelle Muthui is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Kenya Medical Research Institute–Wellcome Trust Research Programme (KWTRP) in Kilifi, Kenya. She has a background in molecular biology and immunology, with research interests focused on host–pathogen interactions and disease pathogenesis to inform the development of health interventions. Her current work involves characterising the naïve immune repertoire of African populations and investigating novel strategies for HIV vaccine development. This research aims to improve understanding of immune diversity in African populations and generate data to guide the design and implementation of effective HIV vaccines.
