Natacha Musonda is a Laboratory Scientist at the Centre for Family Health Research in Zambia (CFHRZ) in Lusaka, Zambia. She holds a degree in Biology with a specialisation in Bioinformatics from Copperbelt University, Kitwe, Zambia.
Over the past two years, she has contributed to research studies supported by the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) and the Gates Foundation, with involvement in HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), tuberculosis (TB), and COVID-19 research.
Her current research focuses on a longitudinal mixed-methods study assessing experiences of sexual and gender-based violence among survivors and evaluating the impact of specialised care referral on HIV risk patterns among adolescent girls and young women in Zambia. This work contributes to understanding the intersection between SGBV and HIV vulnerability, supporting efforts to reduce HIV incidence in high-risk populations.
