Eric Rubin is a physician-scientist whose research focuses on tuberculosis. His laboratory develops genetic tools to study Mycobacterium tuberculosis, with the aim of understanding bacterial growth, survival and pathogenesis, and translating these findings into improved strategies for TB treatment and prevention.
In addition to his research activities at Harvard, he is an infectious diseases attending physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the New England Journal of Medicine.
