Loice Kanda specialises in molecular biology and bioinformatics. She holds an undergraduate degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Juja, Kenya. Her research interests include vaccinology and infectious diseases.
Her current work focuses on identifying and characterising distinct subsets of naïve B cells to better understand how features of the B cell repertoire influence immune responses to germline-targeting (GT) HIV vaccines. Through this research, she aims to contribute to predicting vaccine efficacy and supporting the development of innovative HIV vaccine design strategies based on the characteristics of the naïve B cell repertoire.
