Sashin Harilall is the Grants Manager at AHRI – SANTHE’s Lead Institute. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, an Honours degree in Business Management from the University of South Africa, and has spent the past 6 years in a non-profit organisational environment. He is responsible for managing a team of grants officers that are involved in both pre-award and post-award grants management. This entails assisting investigators compiling and submitting grant proposals, business registrations, drafting agreements, financial management, reporting requirements of grant awards and ensuring both donor and institutional regulations are met.
Harilall is passionate about administration and his goal is to make a positive impact by lessening the encumbering red tape usually associated with grants administration, giving PI’s and their teams more time to focus on their scientific goals.
